Itinerary
We’ll pick you up from your Melbourne hotel bright and early, setting our sights on the Great Ocean Road, which was declared a National Heritage of Australia in 2011. Delve into the history of this region, which was inhabited by indigenous tribes for over 40,000 years. What was life like for these communities? How did they interact with Westerners? With our knowledgeable guide, we’ll uncover the stories and legends of the aboriginal people.
Our first stop is the charming town of Torquay, the gateway to the Great Ocean Road. With its pleasant atmosphere and breathtaking views, it’s no surprise to see surfers catching waves or tourists relaxing at the local cafes.
Next, we’ll visit Apollo Bay, renowned for its gastronomy and surfing culture. But the wild adventure is just getting started: we’ll head to Kennet River, a reserve where koalas roam freely in their natural habitat.
Our journey continues through the rainforest of the Great Otway National Park, home to parrots, eucalyptus trees, and some of the world’s tallest trees. From there, we’ll make our way to another national park, specifically Port Campbell.
The highlight of our trip awaits: the Twelve Apostles, the crown jewel of the Great Ocean Road. Many wonder about the origins of this unique geological formation and why only eight of the original twelve rocks remain standing.
We’ll also explore Loch Ard Beach, nestled in a gorge where the lush greenery contrasts with the azure waters. What tales does this paradise hide?
After our immersive journey along the Great Ocean Road, we’ll return to your hotel in Melbourne, leaving you with memories of an unforgettable adventure.
